Biography

The Hon. Michael G. Allard-Madaus is an associate justice of the Worcester District Court in Massachusetts. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Deval Patrick on June 30, 2010.


Allard-Madaus was instrumental in the creation of the first Recovery Court for the Worcester District Court. The Recovery Court is for high-risk, high-need people whose crimes are related to their addiction.


Prior to his appointment, Allard-Madaus worked as an attorney in private practice, handling civil and criminal matters. He specialized in real estate law, including mortgage closings and foreclosures.


Allard-Madaus earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Worcester State College in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 1986.


Born in Worcester, Allard-Madaus attended Our Lady of the Angels and St. John’s High School. He is a local musician, playing percussion for a variety of local bands.
