Biography

The Hon. Martin J. Kerins (Ret.) was a judge for the Suffolk County Court in New York. He was elected to the bench in 2001 and retired in 2008.


Kerins received a B.S. from Dowling College in 1961. He went on to earn a J.D. from New York Law School in 1967.


He began his judicial career in 1984 when he became a judge for the Suffolk County District Court. He remained on the bench until 1988.


In 2013, he became an administrative hearing officer with the newly-established Traffic Violations Bureau in Suffolk County.
