The Hon. Mark C. Kim is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was originally appointed to the Municipal Court by former Governor Pete Wilson in December of 1998. He was elevated to the Superior Court in 2000 as a result of the court's unification.

Kim, who is of Korean descent, spent the first ten years of his life in South Korea before returning to the United States.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985. He went on to earn his J.D. from Cornell University School of Law, New York in 1988.

After graduating from law school, Kim joined the Los Angeles law firm of McKenna, Conner, and Cuneo as an attorney in 1988. In 1990 he became a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. He remained there until his appointment to the Municipal Court in 1998.

During his time on the bench, Judge Kim has served as the supervising judge for the South District. In 2012 Kim, overturned a man's 2002 rape conviction, clearing his name, after the accuser admitted to fabricating the story.

He has been a member of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce.
