The Hon. Mark B. Cohen is a judge for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench on November 7, 2017.
Prior to his election, Cohen served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he represented District 202 from 1974 to 2016. During his tenure there, he held positions as the Majority Caucus Leader, the Majority Whip, and the Majority Caucus Chairman.
Cohen earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970. He then completed J.D. at Widener University Delaware Law School (1993) and an M.B.A. at Lebanon Valley College (2000).
Born in New York City, Cohen was raised in Philadelphia, where he attended the Central High School of Philadelphia. His wife works as a special education teacher and advocates for children with autism.
Cohen is registered as a Democrat.
