Judge Marina Cora Mundy - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Marina Cora Mundy is a justice for the Richmond County Supreme Court in the Thirteenth Judicial District of New York. She was elected to the bench in 2018.

Mundy earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1992. She then completed a J.D. at Brooklyn Law School in 1995.

After graduating from law school, Mundy began her legal career as an associate at Breier Deutschmeister & Urban in 1995. Two years later, she left the private sector, settling into a position as a court attorney for the New York State Unified Court System.

Then, in 2005, Mundy was appointed as a judge for the New York City Housing Court in Richmond County by Chief Administrative Judge Jonathan Lippman. She was re-appointed to the bench by Chief Administrative Judge Ann Pfau in 2010 and Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti in 2015.

She is registered as a Republican.
