The Honorable Marie Sovey Silveira

Biography

The Hon. Marie Sovey Silveira is a judge for the Stanislaus County Superior Court in California.

She received her A.B. from the University of Southern California in 1977. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1981.

During her time on the bench, Judge Silveira served as a Presiding Judge of the Court. She was instrumental in establishing the Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA program in Stanislaus County in 2002. She has also presided in the Civil Department at the City Towers Courthouse in Stanislaus County.
