Biography

The Hon. Maria M. Korvick (Ret.) was a judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in Miami-Dade County, Florida. She joined the Circuit Court in 1981 and retired from its bench in 2019. Prior to sitting on the Circuit Court, Korvick served as a judge for the Miami-Dade County Court from 1979 to 1981.
She received a B.A. from the University of Miami in 1969. She went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1973.
After graduating from law school, Korvick joined the Miami-Dade State Attorneys Office, where she worked as an assistant state attorney until assuming the County Court bench. During her six-year tenure with the State Attorneys Office, Korvick served in the Major Crimes Division.
While on the Circuit Court, she presided in the Probate Division.
Her memberships included the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Cuban American Bar Association.
Korvick was born in Cuba.
