The Hon. Lisa M. Rogan is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Jerry Brown on May 22, 2013, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. James Welch.
Rogan earned an A.S. from Mount San Antonio College. She then completed a J.D. from the University of La Verne, College of Law.
She began her legal career in 2001, serving in the Office of the District Attorney of San Bernardino County. She entered as a deputy district attorney, eventually rising to supervising deputy district attorney in 2010.
Rogan has taught as an adjunct professor of law at the University of La Verne, College of Law from 2004 to 2009.
Before enrolling in law school, Rogan served as a deputy sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department from 1983 to 1988. She also served as a police sergeant for the City of Pomona Police Department from 1989 to 1997. Her husband has served as the Inspector General for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Rogan is registered as a Democrat.
