Hon. Leslie Gorbey (Ret.) was a judge for the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected to the bench in 1997. Gorbey retired in 2017.
She received a B.A. from West Chester University in 1975. Gorbey went on to complete a J.D. at Widener University Delaware Law School in 1979.
Prior to joining the judiciary, she worked for eighteen years as a private practice attorney at the law firm of Arnold, Beyer & Homsher. Her legal career also included a ten-year stint as a custody conference officer for the Court.
An active member of the Lancaster Bar Association, Gorbey sat on its Board of Directors, served as a past president and chair of the Public Service Committee. She also held a membership on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Committee on Racial and Gender Bias in the Justice System.
Gorbey was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Unionville High School in Kennett Square.
She was registered as a Republican.
