The Hon. Lesley D. Holland (Ret.) was a judge for the San Joaquin County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Pete Wilson in 1996. At the time of his appointment, he filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John F. Cruikshank, Jr. (Ret.). Holland retired from the bench in April 2019.
Holland received his bachelor's degree from Occidental College in 1976. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1979.
Before joining the bench, Holland spent his entire legal career in private practice, where he handled civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial disputes and products liability.
During his tenure on the Superior Court, Holland served as an Assistant Presiding Judge and a Presiding Judge of the Court.
His memberships included the California Judges Association, the California Judges Foundation, the San Joaquin County Bar Association, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Stanislaus County Bar Association, and past-president of the Judge Consuelo M. Callahan Inn of Court.
After his retirement, Holland joined the law firm of Herum\Crabtree\Suntag, where he practices ADR services.
