The Hon. Lawrence G. Brown is a judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2010 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Kenneth G. Peterson.

Judge Brown graduated with his B.A. from the University of California, Davis. He went on to earn his J.D. from UC Davis School of Law.

Brown began his legal career as a deputy district attorney with the Ventura County District Attorney's Office in 1989. After five years there, Brown served as the deputy executive director and executive director for the California District Attorney's Association from 1994 to 2003. He then became a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California in 2003. During his seven-year tenure there, he served as an assistant U.S. Attorney and then as the first assistant and interim executive assistant U.S. Attorney, until becoming the executive assistant U.S. Attorney in 2009. He would remain in that position until his appointment to the Superior Court a year later.

During his time on the bench, Judge Brown presided over the first-ever re-entry court graduation in 2015.
