The Hon. Lauren R. Reeder is a judge of the Two Hundred Thirty-Fourth District Court in Harris County, Texas. Reeder was appointed to the bench in 2019 and her term ends in 2022.
Reeder graduated with Honors from New York University with a degree in dramatic writing. She then went to Harvard Law School, where she was the Co-Chair of the Latino Law Students Association.
Reeder has substantial trial experience as a civil and criminal litigator. She worked in large law firms as well as a specialized litigation boutique. She was also an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County.
She was named a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine. Reeder is also on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
She has been a member of The Junior League of Houston, and she has served on the Board of Directors for The Catastrophic Theatre and for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.
Reeder is married and has one child.
She is a Democrat.
