The Hon. Larry Vaughn is a judge for the DeSoto County Justice Court in Mississippi.
Vaughn hears small claims civil cases of $3,500 or less, misdemeanor criminal, and traffic offenses that occur in the county that involve the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The judges also sign warrants, set bonds, preside over preliminary felony criminal hearings, issue temporary protective orders, and issue search warrants.
Vaughn has also worked in private practice.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Delta State University. Vaughn then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1977. He was admitted to practice in Mississippi (1978) and Tennessee (1991).
He is registered as a Republican.
