The Hon. L. Chase Daughtrey is a judge for the Cook County Probate Court in Georgia. He was elected to the bench in 2009.
Prior to his election, Daughtrey spent time as a State Field Representative to Johnny Isakson of the United States Senate. He was also Gary Black’s Campaign Manager in his bid for Commissioner of Agriculture and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Georgia House of Representatives.
Daughtrey earned an associate’s degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kennesaw State University. During this time, he served as an intern to Zell Miller of the United States Senate and Jay Roberts of the Georgia House of Representatives.
His memberships have included the Council of Probate Court Judges (president). He also sits on the Board of Trustees for Cook Medical Center, the Board of Directors for Tift Regional Health System, and the Board of Commissioners for the Probate Judges Retirement Fund.
He was named Judge of the Year by the Council of Probate Judges (2014), and he is a graduate of Leadership Georgia (2014).
Raised in Cook County, Daughtrey attended Cook County High School. He and his wife have two children. They reside in Lenox, Georgia, where his family grows watermelons and cantaloupes in addition to keeping a small herd of cattle.
