The Hon. Keith D. Davis is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Pete Wilson in 1997.
Davis earned a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1981.
After graduating from law school, Davis planned to devote his legal career to transactional law in business and corporate environments. He worked in a small law firm for two years before deciding to accept a position with the Office of the District Attorney of San Bernardino County in 1985. As a deputy district attorney, Davis acquired an interest in injury trial work, an interest that changed the course of his career.
Davis left the public sector in 1987. He joined Wilson, Borror, Dunn & Davis as an associate, eventually rising to partner in 1994. During his ten-year tenure there, he represented public entities, law enforcement officers, private businesses, and individual clients in court.
He has served as president of the California Judges Association, the California Judges Foundation, and the San Bernardino County Law Library Board of Trustees. He has also served as an advisory judicial member of the Legal Services Trust Fund Commission.
Davis was raised by a military family, living in many different parts of the United States and Europe as a child.
