Biography

The Hon. Katie Jacobus is a judge for the Brevard County Court in the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida.


Prior to beginning her judicial career, she was an attorney at Jacobus Law. Before that, Jacobus spent time as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney.


She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from the University of South Florida. Jacobus went on to complete a J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law. She was admitted to practice in Florida in 2006.


She has been a board member of the National Veterans Homeless Support, South Brevard Sharing Center, and the Friends of Sally’s House. She is also a past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Brevard County Bar Association.


Jacobus has resided in Brevard County since 1988.
