The Hon. Justin M. Walsh is a judge for the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench on November 5, 2019.
Prior to his election, Walsh was a District 58 Representative for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, sitting on the House Game & Fisheries Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, the Gaming Oversight Committee, and the House Labor & Industry Committee (2017 to 2019). He sponsored legislation to increase penalties for drug crimes and impose tougher penalties for elder abuse.
He was also a partner at Amatangelo, Baisley & Walsh in Greensburg, where he specialized in criminal defense, juvenile delinquency and dependency, divorce and custody, wills and estates, real estate, business and contracts, and workers’ and unemployment compensation matters.
Walsh earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Francis College in 1994. He then completed a J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law in 1997.
His memberships have included the Westmoreland County Bar Association and the Washington County Bar Association.
A resident of Westmoreland County, Walsh attended Yough High School. He is a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.
He is registered as a Republican.
