Hon. Judy Rae Jasprica (Ret.) was a judge for the Pierce County District Court in Washington. She joined the District Court in 1997. Jasprica retired in 2021.
Prior to this position, she spent two years as a commissioner of the District Court from 1995 to 1997.
Jasprica received a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound in 1983. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1989.
Outside of her judicial career, she also worked as a pro tem judge and private practice attorney.
Jasprica was an instructor and former dean of the Washington State Judicial College.
She chaired the Board of Judicial Administration and the Board of Judicial Administration Court Education Committee. Jasprica was also a member of the District and Municipal Court Judges Association Board of Governors and the Washington State Supreme Court Gender and Justice Commission.
In addition, she was an organizer for the Domestic Violence Forum and a charter member of the Sunset Rotary Club of Tacoma.
