The Hon. John R. Soldati is a judge for the San Joaquin County Superior Court in California. He was initially elected to the bench in June 2018 and was subsequently appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in October of that same year. His appointment allowed Judge Soldati to assume the judicial position immediately. Upon his appointment, he filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. David P. Warner (Ret.).
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Soldati graduated with his B.A. in philosophy from St. Mary's College of California. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1998.

Then, in 2006, Soldati left the D.A.'s office to open his own private practice. While a sole practitioner, Soldati specialized in criminal defense, personal injury, restraining orders, and civil commitment cases. He remained in that capacity until he was selected to serve as a San Joaquin County court commissioner in 2016.

While on the bench, Judge Soldati has presided in the Criminal and Juvenile Dependency Divisions of the San Joaquin County Superior Court.
