Hon. John H. Holland is a judge for the Turner County State Court in Georgia. He joined the bench in 2002.
Prior to joining the State Court, Holland was an attorney in the Ashburn law firm of Holland & Holland, LLC. His areas of practice included municipal law, government, real estate, and probate matters.
He also served as a county attorney for Turner County, a city attorney for the Cities of Sycamore (1992 to 2004) and Ashburn (1988 to 2000), and an attorney for the County Board of Education.
Holland received a B.A. from the University of Georgia in 1982. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law in 1984.
Holland is admitted to practice in Georgia (1985), the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
His memberships have included the Tifton Judicial Circuit Bar Association (past secretary and treasurer), the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia.
