Biography

The Hon. Jillian M. Laxton is a commissioner for the Santa Clara County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench on March 7, 2019.


Prior to her appointment, Laxton worked as a staff attorney for the Santa Clara County Superior Court, where she provided legal assistance in the Family Law Facilitator's Office and the Self-Help Center. Before that, she was an attorney in private practice as well as an attorney for Stand! Against Domestic Violence and the Support Network for Battered Women.


Laxton earned a bachelor's degree from Goddard College. She then completed a J.D. at the New College of California School of Law.


When not presiding over legal matters, Laxton volunteers with the Pleasanton Little League. She is also a team mom for her daughter's competitive cheer team.
