Biography

The Hon. Jeffrey Y. Hamilton, Jr. is a judge for the Superior Court of Fresno County, California. He was appointed to the bench by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to succeed the Hon. Jane A. York in 2005. He was re-elected in 2008 and, after running unopposed, in 2014.

Judge Hamilton earned his B.A. from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Hamilton worked as an associate attorney at McCormick, Barstow, et al. for two years. He then moved to the Fresno District Attorney's Office where he worked as a Deputy District Attorney for ten years.

Judge Hamilton is a Republican.
