Hon. Jeffrey L. Robinson is a judge for the Fulton County Court of Common Pleas (General and Domestic Relations Division) in Ohio. He was elected to the seat on November 8, 2016.
At the time of his election, Robinson presided as a judge for the Western District of the Fulton County Court, a position to which he was appointed by former Governor Robert Taft in 2005.
While on the Court of Common Pleas, he helped spearhead the renovation of the Fulton County Courthouse, including upgrading its technology. Robinson is also credited with establishing the Fulton County Drug Court in 2017.
He received a B.S. from Miami University in 1974. Robinson went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law in 1976. He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1977.
Over the course of his legal career, Robinson practiced as an attorney in the law firm of Barber, Kaper, Stamm, Robinson & McWatters, which he helped establish in 1981. In addition, he acted as a solicitor for the Village of Lyons (eight years), an assistant law director (seven years) and law director for the City of Wauseon (sixteen years), and an assistant solicitor for the Village of Delta (twenty years).
His memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Fulton County Bar Association. Robinson was also a member of the Wauseon Board of Education.
His committee memberships included the Republican Central Committee, the Wauseon Homecoming Committee, and the Perry-Kraus Scholarship Committee.
From a civic standpoint, Robinson was involved with the United Way and the Wauseon Rotary Club.
He was born and raised in Wauseon and is a graduate of Wauseon High School. Robinson continues to reside there with his wife, Melinda, and their three grown children and eight grandchildren. He is a member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon.
