Judge Jeffrey A. Tait - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Jeffrey A. Tait is a justice for the Broome County Supreme Court in the Sixth Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the bench in 2004.

Tait earned a B.S. from Cornell University in 1975. He then completed a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in 1979.

Prior to his election to the bench, Tait worked as a partner at Pope, Tait & Murphy. Before that, he was an associate at O’Connor, Gacioch & Pope.

He has taught as an adjunct instructor at the State University of New York at Binghamton from 1984 to 1994.

He is registered as a Republican.
