The Hon. Jeanne Parker is a judge for the Bell County Court at Law No. 1 in Texas. She was elected to the bench in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.
Parker earned a B.F.A. from the University of Colorado. Then, in 1993, she completed a J.D. at Baylor Law School. During this time, Parker interned at the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas.
Shortly after graduating from law school, Parker joined the Office of the Bell County Attorney. She was initially assigned to the Misdemeanor Section. She then rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Chief of the Juvenile Section. Just prior to her election, she was prosecuting Child Protective Services cases alongside investigators from the Department of Family Protective Services.
Parker has also worked as an attorney in private practice. She spearheaded the Family Law Division and Criminal Law Division at Dan Corbin & Associates (2005 to 2006). She has also served as a legal advisor to the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Afghanistan (2006 to 2007).
She has taught criminal justice at Temple College as well as constitutional and business law at the University of Central Texas in Killeen.
While born in Norfolk, Virginia, Parker was raised in Victoria, where she graduated from high school. Her husband is an occupational safety specialist at Fort Hood.
She is registered as a Republican.
