The Hon. Jane L. Eikleberry (Ret.) served as a judge for the Pima County Superior Court in Arizona. Eikleberry was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jane Dee Hull in 2001. She retired in 2017.
Prior to her appointment, Eikleberry was an attorney in private practice. She held positions as a shareholder with Slutes, Browning, Zlaket & Sakrison (1980 to 1986) as well as Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw and Villamana (1987 to 2001).
Eikleberry earned a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College in 1973. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Iowa College of Law in 1976. She is admitted to practice in Iowa (1976); Arizona (1980); the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, the Southern District of Iowa, and the Northern District of Iowa; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Eighth Circuit.
After graduating from law school, Eikleberry entered into private practice in Iowa City, working as a partner at Oleson & Eikleberry until 1979.
Her memberships have included the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Morris K. Udall American Inn of Court, and the Tucson Defense Bar (president). She also sat on the Board of Directors of the Southern Arizona Women’s Foundation as well as the Arizona State Bar Advertising Committee and Committee on Insurance.
Eikleberry was born in Lincoln, Nebraska.
