The Hon. James M. Hrabal is a judge for the Tarrant County Court at Law No. 3 in Texas. Hrabal was initially elected to the bench in 2010. He was subsequently re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022.
Prior to his election, Hrabal worked as an attorney in private practice for more than twenty years. He specialized in civil law matters. Before that, he was a briefing attorney to the Texas Supreme Court.
Hrabal earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Texas at Arlington. Then, in 1988, he completed a J.D. at Texas Tech University School of Law. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law (1996) and Personal Injury Trial Law (1996) by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
His memberships have included the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Arlington Bar Association. He has also served as Region 8 Director of the Texas Association of County Court at Law Judges.
He is registered as a Republican.
