The Hon. Jacqueline M. Arroyo is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Charles Cory.
Arroyo earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She then completed a J.D. from Western State University College of Law.
She began her legal career as a deputy district attorney with the Office of the District Attorney of Orange County in 1988. Then, in 1990, she moved to the Office of the District Attorney of Santa Clara County, where she served as a deputy district attorney until her appointment to the bench.
Arroyo was born in Agana, Guam. During her spare time, she enjoys surfing, skiing, and snowboarding. She also plays tennis. She has been married to Molly O’Neal, the Public Defender of Santa Clara County.
She is registered as a Democrat.
