The Hon. Jack S. Cox (Ret.) was a judge for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County, Florida. He was appointed to the Circuit Court by former Governor Charlie Crist in 2008 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. William Berger (Ret.). Cox was re-elected in 2010 and did not seek re-election after his term ended in 2017.
He received his B.S. from Florida State University in 1973. He went on to earn a J.D. from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law in 1978.
Prior to his judgeship, Cox served as a sole practitioner at his own law firm. Before going into solo practice, he worked as a partner at two law firms. While in the private sector, Cox handled complex commercial cases.
While on the Circuit Court, he was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve as an associate judge of the Fourth District Court of Appeals for two separate terms. He also held assignments in the Civil and Criminal Divisions.
