Biography

The Hon. Jack M. Jacobson is a judge for the Stanislaus County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gray Davis in 2003. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Terry K. Cole (Ret.).

Judge Jacobson received his B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1975. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1978.

At the time of his appointment to the bench, Jacobson had practiced at the Modesto law firm of Curtis and Arata since 1993. During his tenure in private practice, Jacobson specialized in the defense of tort cases, some of which included general liability, premises liability, and product liability claims. He also defended employment and discrimination cases.
