The Hon. Holly E. Kendig is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench on July 25, 2003, by former Governor Gray Davis. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. J. Michael Byrne (Ret.).

Judge Kendig received her B.A. from DePauw Unversity in 1969. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. Kendig graduated with her M.A. from Tufts University. After acquiring her master's degree, she taught high school for two years. Kendig continued her education at Yale Law School, where she graduated with her J.D.

After graduating from law school, Kendig joined the Los Angeles law firm of O'Melveny and Myers as a partner in 1975. During her almost 30 years with the firm, she practiced complex litigation with a focus on contract disputes, environmental issues, real estate, antitrust and insurance cases. She remained at the firm until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2003.

Her memberships have included the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Associaton of Business Trial Lawyers, the California Judges Association, and the National Association of Women Judges.

During her time on the bench, Judge Kendig served on the Judicial Council Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions, the Los Angeles Superior Court Trial Jurors Committee, the Los Angeles Superior Court Rules Committee, the Los Angeles Superior Court Expert Witness Committee, and the Los Angeles Superior Court Domestic Violence Committee.
