The Hon. Hayden A. Zacky is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was elected to the bench in 2006 to fill the vacancy created when Marion Johnson did not seek re-election.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Zacky received his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego in 1987. He went on to earn his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1992.
During law school, Zacky honed his legal skills by serving as a civil defense clerk for several law firms as well as completing an externship for the late Arthur Alarcon with the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit of California. After graduating from law school, he joined the law firm of Staitman, Snyder, and Tannenbaum as an attorney in 1992. In 1994 Zacky became a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where he practiced for 11 years until his election to the bench. During his time with the D.A.'s office, Zacky served on the Hardcore Gang Unit for the cities of Pasadena and San Fernando Valley.
