The Hon. Gregory A. Dohi is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2007.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Dohi graduated with his B.A. from Harvard University in 1987. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law in 1991.
Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court, Dohi served as a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office starting in 1991. During his 16 years with the D.A.'s office, Dohi served on their High-Tech Crimes Division, the Hardcore Gang Division, as well as their Major Crimes Division.
Judge Dohi taught forensic evidence as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Law School.
He has also co-authored a study for the UCLA Law Review Discourse on the potential effect that gang evidence might have on biasing jury verdicts.
In 2016 Judge Dohi received the Hon. Robert Takasugi Judicial Excellence Award.
