Biography

The Hon. Godofredo Magno is a judge for the Riverside County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2017. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Michele D. Levine (Ret.). At the time of his appointment, Judge Magno was the first Filipino American judge to preside in Riverside County.

He is a registered Democrat.

Judge Magno received his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to earn his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 1997.

After law school, Magno began working for the Riverside County Public Defender's Office as a deputy public defender in 1998. At the time of his appointment to the Superior Court, Magno had served as a supervising deputy public defender for Riverside County since 2014.

While on the bench, Judge Magno has presided over the Felony Vertical Calendar Department at the Hall of Justice.
