Judge Gary S. Glazer - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Gary S. Glazer is a judge for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench and subsequently retained in 2001 and 2011.

Prior to his election, Glazer served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. During his tenure there, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Chief of the Fraud Section. Glazer has also worked as an attorney in private practice in Philadelphia and Chicago.

Glazer earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1972. He then completed a J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1975.

As a recipient of a Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant, Glazer lectured at the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature in Paris. He has also delivered lectures in Russia and Belarus, and he has taught as an adjunct instructor in Trial Practice at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
