The Hon. Gary C. Hobbs is a judge for the Glens Falls City Court in Warren County in the Fourth Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the post in 2015. After the election, Judge Hobbs was designated to serve as a judge for the County Court. He also served as an acting judge for the Glens Falls City Court from 2004 to 2005 and as a part-time judge there from 2006 to 2014.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Hobbs received his B.S. from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1981. He went on to earn his J.D. from Western New England School of Law in 1986.
Prior to joining the bench, Hobbs worked in private practice. He previously practiced as a named partner at Poklemba, Hobbs, and Ulasewicz LLC and was also an attorney with Pontiff, Stewart, and Rhodes.
While on the bench, Judge Hobbs was instrumental in establishing a new centralized arraignment system and court in Warren County in an effort to streamline the arraignment process.
Hobbs was selected to serve on the Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2002.
