The Hon. Fernando Valle is a judge for the Orange County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 14, 2022, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Gary L. Moorhead.
Prior to his appointment, Valle worked for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. He started as a deputy public defender in 2004, rising through the ranks to become a senior deputy public defender in 2021.
Valle earned a J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2002. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2003.
After graduating from law school, Valle began his legal career as an intern with the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office. He served in that capacity until 2004.
Valle was a resident of Santa Ana, California, at the time of his appointment.
He is registered as a Democrat.
