Hon. F. James Gavin (Ret.) was a judge for the Yakima County Superior Court in Washington. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Spellman in 1983. Gavin retired in 2013.
He completed a J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law in 1967.
Gavin began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney, working in that capacity for two years until entering into private practice in 1969. It was at that time, he joined the law firm of his father, John Gavin. During his tenure there, Gavin practiced civil defense work.
