Hon. Eric Brewton is a judge for the Cobb County State Court in Georgia. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Sonny Perdue in 2010.
Brewton was initially appointed to Division II of the Cobb County State Court in 2010 and was later appointed to Division I by Governor Brian Kemp on April 29, 2021 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. David Darden (Ret.).
Prior to joining the judiciary, Brewton was staff counsel for Travelers Insurance Company and also spent time as a private practice attorney at Brock, Clay & Rogers, P.C.
His memberships have included the Cobb County Bar Association.
Brewton received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law in 1983.
His civic involvement has included the East Cobb Young Life and Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
