Biography

The Hon. Elizabeth R. Feffer is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2007 by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of Richard Lyman.

She is a registered Republican.

Judge Feffer received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1990. Feffer continued her education at USC's Annenberg School for Communication where she earned her M.A in communication management.

She went on to earn her J.D. in 1993 from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

While in law school, Feffer began a clerkship for the law firm of Burke, Williams, and Sorensen. After she graduated from law school Feffer joined the firm as an associate. She practiced for the firm from 1992 to 2004 and was eventually named a partner.

In 2005 Feffer became a partner for the law firm Jones and Mayer and practiced there until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2007.

Judge Feffer has contributed articles to several publications such as the Metropolitan News, the Advocate, as well as the Daily Journal.

She has served as a speaker for the State Bar of California as well as the Women Leadership in Law conference.
