The Hon. Elizabeth N. Warin is a judge for the Criminal Court of the City of New York in Kings County. She was appointed to the bench by Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2015.
Warin earned a B.A. from Yale University in 1991. She then completed a J.D. at New York University School of Law in 1997.
She began her legal career as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Then, in 1999, Warin joined the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society, where she worked as a trial attorney until 2002. At that time, she became of counsel for two criminal defense firms.
Her memberships have included the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association and the Committee on Capital Representation of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
