The Hon. Elizabeth A. Blackburn is a judge for the Family and Juvenile Division of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Volusia County, Florida. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2015, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. William A. Parsons.
Prior to her appointment, Blackburn served as Chief of the Homicide Division in the Office of the State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit. She also spent more than twenty years as an attorney in private practice.
Blackburn is board certified in Marital and Family Law, chairing the Family Law Rules Committee of The Florida Bar.
She earned a bachelors degree and a masters degree from the University of Kansas. She then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law.
