The Honorable Edith F. Haney

Hon. Edith F. Haney is a judge for the Carroll County Probate Court in Georgia. She was appointed to the bench in 2018.

Prior to joining the judiciary, Haney was a partner at Tisinger Vance, P.C. and served for eight years as general counsel at FOGO Data Centers, a cloud-based internet security company started by her husband, Rick, in 2010.

Haney received a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Georgia. She went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in 1993.

From a civic standpoint, Haney has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Circles of West Georgia, a poverty-elimination concept based on group mentoring. She has also been a member of the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club.

Haney was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, and is a graduate of Central-Macon High School. She and her husband attend Midway Baptist Church. In her free time, Haney enjoys reading and traveling.
