Hon. Don Ferguson is a judge for the White County Probate Court in Georgia. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
Prior to his election, Ferguson had managed his own private solo practice in White County since 1994. At the firm, he handled real estate, wills, and probate matters.
Before that, he worked for one year as an assistant district attorney with the White County District Attorney’s Office (1993 to 1994).
Ferguson received a bachelor’s degree from Truett McConnell University and Piedmont College and a master’s degree from Brenau University. He went on to complete a J.D. at North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1993.
Ferguson, who ran for the Probate Court position because of his desire to help people, was first inspired to become an attorney after conducting title searches on land for the highway department (1985 to 1990).
