The Hon. Delia Trevino is a judge of the Alameda County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2015 by former Governor Jerry Brown. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John M. True (Ret.).
She is a registered Democrat.
Judge Trevino received her B.A. from Yale University. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
Trevino would spend her entire legal career, outside of the bench, at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, where she served as a deputy district attorney. During her time there, she helped prosecute child sexual assaults. She was also briefly assigned to the D.A.'s Consumer and Environmental Protection Division, where she was tasked with enforcing labor judgments, worker's compensation fraud, and notario fraud.
While on the bench, Judge Trevino has presided over a master criminal calendar.
She has been an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA), where she served as a past member of the board of directors and also chaired the association's Judicial Appointments Evaluation Committee. She was also instrumental in reviving the ACBA's Criminal Law Section Executive Committee. The ACBA awarded her their Distinguished Service Award in 2019.
In her courtroom, Judge Trevino expects attorneys to be prepared and to know the facts of their case.
Judge Trevino, who is a married mother of two, enjoys spending time with her family.
