The Hon. Deirdre H. Hill is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was originally appointed to the Municipal Court by former Governor Gray Davis in 1999.

Judge Hill received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1983. She went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1985.

Hill spent the first 8 years of her legal career as a business litigator, which included serving as a senior associate at the firm Saltzburg, Ray, and Bergman. In 1993 she was appointed President of the Los Angeles Police Commission by then-mayor Richard Riordan. At the time of her appointment, she held the distinction of being the first African-American woman to hold the position. She spent three years as President before resigning in June of 1996. In 1998 Hill was named interim Inspector General for the Los Angeles Police Department and remained in that capacity until her appointment to the Municipal Court in 1999.

Judge Hill is a native of Los Angeles.
