Hon. Dean M. Fink is a judge for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Janet Napolitano in 2007.
During his judicial tenure, Fink has held assignments in the Probate, Criminal, Tax/Civil, and Family Courts. He has also served as the Presiding Judge of the Tax/Civil Court.
Prior to his appointment, Fink presided for three years as a commissioner of the Maricopa County Superior Court (2004 to 2007).
Before that, he worked in private practice in both Phoenix, Arizona, and Los Angeles, California. In Phoenix, Fink was an attorney at Lewis & Roca (2000 to 2004), Kirkland & Ellis, and Fennemore Craig (1993 to 1995). He also spent time in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis. His tenure at the firm spanned from 1996 to 2000.
Fink received a B.A. from the University of Arizona in 1990. He went on to complete a J.D. at Columbia Law School in 1993.
His memberships have included the Maricopa County Bar Association, the Sandra Day O’Connor Inn of Court (Master), and the Arizona Judges Association.
Fink has also sat on the Arizona Supreme Court’s Fiduciary Board and the State Bar of Arizona’s Communications Advisory Committee (chairman) and Civil Practice and Procedure Committee.
His civic involvement has included the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix (Board of Directors), the University of Arizona Student Life National Leadership Board, the Arizona Town Hall, and the University of Arizona Bobcats Alumni Organization (past president).
