Judge David T. Wall - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. David T. Wall (Ret.) was a judge for the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. He assumed the bench in 2002 and retired in 2010.

Wall received a B.J. in broadcast journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. He went on to earn a J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 1986.

Before attending law school, he worked in radio and television broadcasting in Texas and Louisiana.

After obtaining his law degree, Wall joined the Clark County Public Defender’s Office in 1987. He worked as a deputy public defender until 1991.

Wall left the public sector to practice as an associate at Gentile, Porter & Kelesis, P.C., though he would return to his position at the Public Defender’s Office in 1994.

In 1996, he joined the District Attorney’s Office in Clark County, where he served as a chief deputy district attorney until joining the bench. During his tenure there, Wall held an assignment in the Major Violators Unit.

Upon his retirement from the bench, he partnered with Eglet Wall Christiansen (2010 to 2014) before becoming a JAMS mediator and arbitrator in 2014.

His memberships have included the American Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association, State Bar of Nevada, and the Nevada Judges Association.

Wall was a board member of the YMCA of Las Vegas and a member of the Las Vegas Founders Club. He graduated from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program in 2002.

He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
