The Hon. Daniel Juarez is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2013. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of Joseph F. DeVanon, Jr.

Judge Juarez graduated with his B.A. in political science and Spanish literature from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law in 1992.
After graduating from law school, Juarez joined the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles as an attorney. In 1995 he became an associate managing attorney for Protection and Advocacy, Inc., where he practiced for five years. In 2005 Juarez became a state administrative law judge for the California Office of Administrative Hearings. He remained in that capacity until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2013.
