Biography

The Hon. Daniel J. Healy is a judge for the Solano County Superior Court in California. He was elected to the bench in 2010.

Judge Healy received his B.A from the University of California, Davis in 1982. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1986.

Prior to his election to the Superior Court, Healy had served as a criminal defense attorney in private practice for twenty-four years.

While on the bench, Judge Healy has been assigned to the Criminal Division and the Traffic Division/Adult Truancy Court at the Solano Justice Building in Vallejo. He was previously assigned to the Family Law Division.

In 2014, Judge Healy was publicly admonished by the Commission on Judicial Performance for violating the California Code of Judicial Ethics. It was alleged that Judge Healy made statements toward litigants on multiple occasions that were deemed to be denigrating and disrespectful.
